Solo Show @ ACRE Projects: Install ImagesDecember 14, 2011
On December 4th I had a solo show at ACRE projects in Pilsen, Chicago. This show came out of a 10 day residency I did this summer in Steuben,Wisconsin. During the first 10 days of August I attended the second session of ACRE's second year run of their residency program. I thought the experience was really positive and I had a good chance to make new works and edit a lot of photography and writing. Also have to give props to Rick Leech in the screenprinting studio (both while in residence and when we returned) who helped me put together the edition of silkscreen prints entitled Obelisk (shown below).
Here are some photos of the installation:
Two photographs, a newer large scale screen print titled Obelisk, and an new installation piece made for this show titled burbere/burberry.
flattened Ethiopian currency equaling ¢1 USD

I must also extented a gratuitious thanks to Joe and Michele Richey at Prairie Center of the Arts in Peoria Illinois. All of the large scale images were printed in their residence facility.
